On June 21, 1776, John Adams wrote: “Statesmen, my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the Principles upon which Freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free Constitution is pure Virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our People in a greater Measure, than they have it now, they may change their Rulers and the forms of Government, but they will not obtain a lasting liberty.” That's literally what we see happening today in America. We're legalizing immorality, changing our Constitution, and ignoring the clear intent of our founding generation. Voter Savvy Navigators exists to help change this un-godly and un-American direction. We believe that most Americans believe in God and are aware of the importance of elections, and the necessity of electing people who support historic American values and moral virtue. However, within the voting process in America, it has become increasingly more difficult to keep ahead of the elections or find out who is running for the various office positions. But more importantly, it's extremely difficult to determine how the candidates visualize the Governing Process within our Constitutional Republic? In other words, how do you determine what the candidate will really do once elected? How can you determine the way they will vote on legislation? What do they really believe is the true purpose of government? And finally, what will they try to accomplish through the laws that they will implement? Our busy schedules further complicate this discovery issue as most are overloaded already so there isn't time to investigate the candidates thoroughly before we rush to the voting locations. A SIMPLISTIC APPROACH: In an effort to help simplify the entire election process, we created a web-application to help Americans get a better understanding and better insight into the character of the people who are seeking to be elected into these offices (Federal, State, County, and City Governments) as well as auditing their performance while holding those positions of Public Service. By identifying candidates who share in America’s historic and Constitutional vision and by keeping watch on each elected person's legislative actions and corresponding voting history, we will be better equipped to determine whether or not to allow them remain in office – thus greatly enabling us in becoming more politically savvy. RECOVERING OUR TRUE RELIGION: We also "Proclaim Liberty throughout the Land" as inscribed on our world famous Liberty Bell. America's official Motto is "In God We Trust", and it is protected under Law. As you are well aware, you cannot trust someone that you do not know. You cannot trust someone that you are not in a close relationship with. When our Founders were debating on how to best governing this newly formed Nation, a speech was delivered which reminded the delegates of the 'Friend' Who aided the Colonists in the Revolutionary war. The following is part of the admonition delivered by Benjamine Franklin: "To that kind Providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? or do we imagine we no longer need His assistance? I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth—that God Governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the *Sacred Writings, that "except the Lord build the House, they labor in vain that build it." I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without his concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the Builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and bye word down to future ages..." *King Solomon recorded in Psalm 127:1 (KJV) Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Voter Savvy Navigators promotes having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ (our Powerful Friend) as being the most absolute means of protecting our beloved Nation and securing "the Blessings of Liberty" to ourselves and to future generations, as stated in our Constitution. We also believe that with His concurring aid, we can and will help Americans reunite again as One Nation under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all - accomplished through effective prayer, community oversight, and intelligent voting. ABOUT THE FOUNDER OF VSN
Dal Sumrell began his career with the NCR Company in the mid 60’s as a Programmer Analyst. During those years he assisted businesses achieve their computer automation goals by creating accounting and information reporting systems using NCR’s vast retail and commercial experience and products. In the 1970’s Mr. Sumrell and 3 partners launched a computer hardware and software dealership which marketed computer solutions, in multiple markets, at lower costs which resulted in the customers business’s greater efficiency. In the late 1980’s He launched Georgia Software Corporation as an independent business partner with IBM and successfully developed and implemented business accounting and information solutions in 6 industries and 43 different lines of business. Mr. Sumrell’s interest in Government and Elections was awakened in the mid 80’s while watching a video in a Church Bible study class that was entitled “America's Godly Heritage” by David Barton, founder of Wall Builders Ministries. Documents from the Federal Archives presented in this video contained overwhelming evidence that our current form of Government under The Constitution was indeed established on Biblical Principles, thus explaining why “In God We Trust” was, and still is, our National Motto. It was in this setting that Mr. Sumrell realized that the problems in our Governing order were not caused by our form of government (which some call outdated), but by the people we elect to administer this order. Simple put - if their vision is wrong, the outcomes of their administration will fail to deliver the objectives stated in the Preamble of our Constitution. The Vision which our Founding Generation had was the Authentic American Dream, and this Vision of “Liberty and Justice for All” is indeed “Abundant Life”. Abundant Life (John 10:10) is only achieved through a godly People who elect godly Public Servants – who serve God first, then Us His People. They actually swear with an oath “So Help me God” to do this. Mr. Sumrell has continued to teach others about the faith of our Founding Generation in different Bible study venues for over 3 decades and has included this information in the VoterSavvy.Org application and on this website. Accomplishing this vision is the reason that Mr. Sumrell established Voter Savvy Navigators, and he has committed his life to its ongoing support.
